Love in the time of robots, this is not. Science creeps closer to the fringe, and no one is sure where to draw the line. Inspired by a literary classic, tensions ride high as a fateful accident illuminates the notion that a seemingly black-and-white universe may contain more shades of grey than anyone thought.

Christina Bauer

After years as a professional armchair detective, science fiction critic, and cat-herder, Christina Bauer is putting aside her ambitions to be the FBI's most unwanted for the sake of theatre. Dusting off her degrees in anthropology, political science, and theatre from James Madison University - why, she doesn't know, she loathes dusting - she's preparing a play for public consumption. You've more likely seen Christina holding any non-writing theatrical position with Aurora Theatre, Shotgun Players, TheatreFIRST, Berkeley Playhouse, Central Works, Livermore Shakespeare Festival, and StarStruck Children's Theatre. You definitely heard her delivering doomsday news reports in QDT's Speed of Light and using her phaser for good in the 2016 Forge reading of Fierce Moment.

Happily
by Rachel Bublitz

Reena has thrown every-thing she’s got into her fantasy novel, a project she’s been working on for her entire adult life, when fate throws her a curveball and she’s forced to sleep on her sister and brother-in-law’s couch. Now she’s caught between following her passion and being what everyone else considers an adult. She’s positive everything will work out her way if only she could stop flirting with her sister’s ob-viously unavailable new neighbor. As Reena shifts between her fantastic imagination and real life, she realizes that she has to fight the dragons of her own past if she’s going to get a happy ending to call her own.

Rachel Bublitz

Rachel Bublitz founded 31 Plays in 31 Days, the Loud & Unladylike festival, was a Youth Ambassador for the Dramatists Guild of America, and was awarded the June Anne Baker Prize & the Emerging Playwright Award from PlayGround. Rachel has also worked with Playwrights Foundation, San Francisco Playhouse, the One Minute Play Festival, Salt Lake Acting Company, the Wyoming Theater Festival, DIVAfest, & PianoFight. She has an MA in English & an MFA in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University. When she isn’t writing, she’s chasing after her two viking like children, & learning about weather in her new home of Salt Lake City, Utah. For more, visit www.RachelBublitz.com.

Eddie finds himself in the middle of a real-life monster movie when the dig site he is working on is attacked and he is the only man left alive. Scientists want to use his wrecked body as bait to tempt the creature back to the site so they can kill it and dissect it, but the longer Eddie waits for the creature, the harder it becomes for him to tell the difference between dreams and reality. Is he dreaming when his girl-friend is kidnapped by the creature? Is the nurse that is caring for him working for the scientists? When he wakes up will he be Eddie, a movie lover from West Texas; or Edwin, a man trapped by his fear and hunted by a murderous creature?

It's hard to let go of the past. It's even harder to embrace it. Three sisters will learn the value of history, the fallibility of memory, and importance of forgiveness - oh! and that time travel really does exist, inside their own home.
