Pay-What-You-Want Ticket Policy

Michaela Greeley as Rossum.

Quantum Dragon Theatre is dedicated to being a theatre for everybody, regardless of ability to pay. In the past, that's meant that all of our tickets were pay-what-you want. This created an unfortunate loophole, however. Some people reserved 2 or 4 or 6 or more tickets online without paying, and then did not show up to claim their tickets the day of the performance. This was unfair to people who did want to see our shows, but who were turned away because the shows seemed to be sold out. Accordingly, we've revisited our pay-what-you-want ticket policy in an attempt to make it more fair.

To reserve a ticket online, you will need to pay at one of our predetermined levels, which range from $15 to $50 per ticket. Reserving online guarantees your seat, and as in the past, donating at the $50 level ensures a VIP seat in the front and center of the audience.

However, we will hold 6 pay-what-you-want tickets to sell at the door each performance. So, if you want to be able to name your own price— whether it's 2 cents, 2 dollars, or 2 bars of gold-pressed latinum— show up half an hour to forty minute before opening. These tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

Additionally, for shows which did not sell out online, all remaining tickets will become pay-what-you-want tickets at the door for that performance. If you've reserved tickets online, please arrive to claim them by 8pm (or 3pm for matinee performances), or your tickets may be released into the pay-what-you-want pool.

We hope this new policy will continue our tradition of equity while ensuring that no one is turned away while there are still empty seats. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to e-mail us at info [at] quantumdragon [dot] org or send us a message through our Facebook page.
